Fantastic deal for students.
Normally I wouldn’t repost a press release, but this really is fantastic news.
MEDIA ADVISORY/PHOTO ADVISORY TODAY:
MORE THAN $500,000 IN TUITION ASSISTANCE HAS BEEN MADE AVAILABLE TO STUDENTS ATTENDING ASU TO HELP OFFSET THE COSTS OF TUITION INCREASE
Tempe’s GRIGIO METRO Community is offering up to $3000 per apartment rented through a special Tuition Assistance program to all students who sign a one-year apartment lease at GRIGIO METRO between now and May 31, 2009
WHAT: GRIGIO METRO, Tempe’s newest rental community, is sympathetic to ASU’s new tuition increase and how it’s affecting families and students who may not have the added dollars to attend college this Fall.
WHY: Thousands of families may be impacted by this recent increase in tuition fees. This is a tremendous opportunity to ensure students’ and parents’ ability to enroll at ASU without feeling the full pinch of the increased tuition!
WHEN: Starting today and for a very limited time, up to $3000 per apartment leased is being offered to all ASU students to assist in their tuition costs—More than $500,000 is available to all students who lease an apartment at GRIGIO METRO for a term of at least one year.
WHO: Any student and parent interested in taking advantage of this limited offer! But they must sign the lease not later than May 31st for move in August 2009
WHERE: The GRIGIO community, 1001 E. Playa Del Norte, Tempe, south of Loop 202, at Scottsdale Road and Playa del Norte. GRIGIO METRO IS AT APACHE & MCCLINTOCK.
WOW!!! Walk away with assistance of up to $3000 towards your fall 2009 tuition payment!
Parents and students will be lining up to receive this limited tuition assistance offer. No other community is offering anything like this!
Exact amount of assistance payment depends upon the rent for the unit being leased. Tuition assistance payments will be made directly to Arizona State University in the student’s name. Students and parents are responsible for all income tax aspects of receiving the tuition assistance payment. If multiple students lease a single apartment unit, the assistance payment will be divided equally among the students. Leases must be for at least 12 months to qualify for the tuition assistance payments, and any early termination of the lease will require a prorata reimbursement of the assistance, in addition to all other legal remedies available to Landlord for breach of the lease.

Yep, President Obama is coming to ASU. Bit of a controversy about if he was going to be awarded an honorary degree and if not, why not.
Dawn Teo’s article that started it all.
Tough schedule keeping you down? Days filled with work/school/other responsibilities?
Come check out Grigio at night, from 7-10pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays. Drinks and snacks will be provided.
Bring your suit!
Looks like the credit crunch is affecting everyone.
While scholarship money was certainly never easy to come by, it’s never been tougher thanks to crack downs on lending and a failing economy. It used to be harder to get into school than to get loans, but we all know that just isn’t true anymore.
So check out this offer by Grigio Metro. Up to $3k for school. It’s free money. Why wouldn’t you?
Looks like Tempe residents will have a new theater to look forward to quite soon. While Centerpoint Harkins shut down because of the (alleged) proximity to Tempe Marketplace, the only theater on the Light Rail was in Phoenix, save the single screen on Mill.
Just a short ride away from Apache and McClintock…
Something to be aware of when you’re traveling. Don’t pay any more than you have to for a rental car.
Another one of the cool things residents that live in Grigio Metro are privy to.
Life close to a big college sure has its privileges. While Hawking wasn’t able to show, Origins is a fantastic event.
Selling all their housing assets can’t be a good thing. Seems like they bit off a little more than they could chew.
We are so in the news. Apparently we like to buck trends and we happen to be pretty good at it. While it may not work for everyone, it certainly does for us.
That’s what make Grigio Metro special.
